Case study
Sportradar Betting UI
Built configurable React bet slip interfaces for v2 of Sportradar's betting software for bookmakers, integrating backend data into the frontend. Reduced UI latency for near-real-time updates through improved Redux event handling and memoization of high-frequency components. Helped migrate existing customers from legacy systems to v2, working with architects and stakeholders on frontend integration.

The work
From March 2018 to September 2021, I contributed to Sportradar's React betting platform, with a focus on configurable bet slip interfaces for bookmakers. The frontend needed to handle frequent backend updates and complex configuration rules while staying responsive.
I also helped move existing customers from legacy software to v2, working with architects and stakeholders on frontend integration.
How I approached it
I integrated backend data into the React interface and improved Redux event handling to reduce UI latency. Memoizing components that updated frequently helped keep near-real-time data changes from triggering unnecessary rendering work.
The migration work involved adapting the frontend to the newer platform while supporting the configurations existing customers needed.
Results
- Configurable React bet slips for bookmakers
- Existing customers migrated from legacy systems to v2
- Reduced UI latency for near-real-time updates
